The walk to the summit of the Aitana starts on the north side of the mountain, at the pretty ‘Font de Partagat’ a natural spring above the village of Benifato.
We start at an elevation of 950m, and walk on gentle ascending paths to Aitana’s summit at 1.558 m, the highest point in Costa Blanca.
On the way you’ll spot a fantastic example of a ‘Nevera’; these impressive snow caves were built in the early 18th century and are typically found at the north facing slopes of Costa Blanca’s mountains.

09.00 AM – 09.30 AM: Pick-Up
- Pick up at your accommodation.
09:30 AM – 10.15 AM: Transport
- A 45 minutes drive to the “Font de Partagat” high above in the Guadalest valley where we park the van to start our walk.
10.15 AM – 03.00 PM: Walk to the summit of the Aitana, 1.558m
- We walk along majetic north facing rock cliffs and scramble up the famous “Passet de Rabosa”. From there we take in the summit and return along the summit ridge back to the car park.
03.00 PM – 04.30 PM: Return to you accommodation
- After the walk we take you back to your accommodation with an optional stop at a local bar en-route to have a drink to celebrate your achievement.
